Dr. Morton S. Tau earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1970, after earning his bachelor’s degree from Hunter College of the City University of New York in 1966. Following his dental degree, he received advanced education in prosthetics while serving as a captain in the US Air Force. In 1975, Dr. Tau started his own practice in both New York City and in New City, where he still currently practices and resides today.

Dr. Tau has completed countless hours of continuing education over the past 38 years. His extensive continuing education includes courses in cosmetic dentistry, including tooth-colored bonded restorations and porcelain veneers. Since 1984, his practice has emphasized implant prosthetics. Dr. Tau was also a dental consultant to the TV show Extreme Makeover.

From 1995-2003 Dr. Tau taught post-graduate esthetic dentistry at Tufts University.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Academy of Facial Cosmetics. Dr. Tau is married to his wife Harriet and has two children - Leonard, a dentist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Nicole, a schoolteacher. He also has three grandchildren, Joshua, Aidan and Jacob.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching all sports, world travel, and photography.
